Getting Started

Client Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Find quick answers to common questions about using WpCircle to hire and manage WordPress professionals.

1. General Questions

Is it free to post a project on WpCircle? Yes! It is completely free to create an account and post your project. You only pay when you decide to hire a professional and fund a milestone.

How is WpCircle different from other freelance platforms? WpCircle is specialized for the WordPress ecosystem. Every professional here is vetted for WordPress-specific skills, whether it’s WooCommerce, LMS development, or complex plugin customization. We also use a strict Escrow system to ensure your funds are protected.

Can I hire multiple professionals for one project? No. To maintain project clarity and accountability, WpCircle allows only one professional per project. If you need multiple experts (e.g., one for design and one for SEO), please post them as separate projects.

2. Payments & Escrow

Is my money safe? Absolutely. Your funds are held in the WpCircle Escrow Vault. The professional can see that the money is “Securely Held,” but they cannot access it until you manually click “Approve” on a submitted milestone.

When do I have to pay? You pay when you “Fund” a milestone. This happens after you have interviewed the professional and accepted their proposal, but before they start working on that specific phase.

Can I get a refund after I fund a project? As per our platform policy, cancellations and refunds are not permitted once a milestone has been funded. The funding acts as a committed contract for the professional to reserve their time and start development. We encourage thorough interviewing before clicking the fund button.

What happens if I’m not happy with the work? If a submission doesn’t meet your expectations, do not click approve. Use the workspace chat to request revisions. The professional is obligated to deliver work based on the milestone scope you both agreed upon.

3. Project Management

Can I edit my milestones after the project has started? No. Once a milestone is funded, the project structure, pricing, and descriptions are permanently locked. This protects both parties from “scope creep” or sudden price changes. If you have extra work, you can add it as a new project or wait until the current project is complete to rehire the professional.

How do I share my WordPress login with the professional? For your security, we recommend using a “Temporary Login” plugin or a password manager. Never share your main admin password in plain text. You should only share credentials once the project is officially funded and in the “Active Development” stage.

Can I talk to my professional on WhatsApp or Skype? To keep your project eligible for WpCircle Escrow protection and dispute resolution, all communication must stay within the WpCircle Chat. If you move the conversation off-platform, we cannot verify agreements made elsewhere if a problem arises.

4. Technical Questions

What if I don’t know the technical details of what I need? That’s perfectly fine! When posting a project, simply describe your goal in plain English. During the interview phase, professionals will suggest the best tools, plugins, and technical solutions for you.

How do I know if a professional is actually good? Check the Freelancer Fame Wall on their proposal. This shows their success rate, total earnings on WpCircle, and reviews from other clients. We also recommend looking for the “Top Match” tag on proposals.

5. Account & Security

What should I do if a professional asks for payment outside of WpCircle? Report this immediately using the “Report” flag in the chat. Paying outside the platform is a violation of our Terms of Service and results in the immediate loss of your Escrow protection.

How do I download my invoices? Go to your Account Settings > Billing & Payments. You can view and download PDF invoices for every milestone you have funded and released.
