The final milestone has been submitted, and your WordPress project is ready for the finish line. This guide explains how to officially close a project, release the final payment, and set yourself up for future success by building a relationship with your professional.
1. Final Approval & Payment Release
When the last milestone of your project is submitted, it is time for the Final Approval.
- Reviewing the Final Work: Take the time to do a “Full Site Audit” or a final check of the specific task. Ensure all bugs are fixed and the project meets the original scope.
- The Action: In the Milestone Sidebar, click Approve & Release on the final stage.
- The Result: The remaining Escrow funds are transferred to the professional. The project status will automatically change from “In Progress” to “Completed.”
2. Leaving Reviews & Ratings
At WpCircle, reviews are the lifeblood of the marketplace. Once the final payment is released, you will be prompted to rate your experience with the professional.
How to Rate:
- Star Rating (1-5): Rate the professional on quality, communication, expertise, and deadlines.
- Written Feedback: Write a brief summary of your experience. High-quality reviews help other clients find great talent and reward professionals for their hard work.
- Public Display: Your review will appear on the professional’s profile and the “Freelancer Fame Wall” for future clients to see.
3. Downloading Files & Invoices
Even after a project is completed, you still have access to your important data.
- Project Files: All files uploaded during the project remain stored in the Project Files section of the workspace. We recommend downloading a final backup of all deliverables for your own records.
- Invoices & Receipts: Need a record for taxes?
- Go to Billing & Payments in your account settings.
- View your Transaction History to download individual invoices for every milestone payment made during the project.
4. Moving to the “Completed” Tab
To find your past work for reference:
- Navigate to All Work in the left sidebar.
- Click the Completed tab at the top.
- From here, you can enter the “Archived Workspace” to view old messages, files, or milestone details.
5. Rehiring Professionals
Found a professional who understands your brand perfectly? WpCircle makes it easy to work with them again.
- One-Click Rehire: In the Completed tab or on the professional’s profile, click the Rehire button.
- Why Rehire? Working with the same expert saves time on “onboarding” and ensures consistent quality for your WordPress maintenance, new features, or future site builds.
6. Post-Project Checklist
Before you close the browser, ensure you have:
- [ ] Changed any temporary passwords you shared during development.
- [ ] Downloaded the final project files/documentation.
- [ ] Left a review to support the professional.
- [ ] Saved the professional to your “Shortlist” for future work.
